Resilient Floors

There have never been as many choices of resilient flooring, as there is today. Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) is available in a multitude of styles, sizes and colors. Roll goods of sheet vinyl or natural cork linoleums come in a myriad of colors and have various seaming options. Vinyl Composition Tiles (VCT) are sometimes the most cost-effective and long-term flooring solution for certain applications. Tri-Co’s business upstart in 1959 began with installations of resilient floors. Nearly 60 years of experience has resulted in a proficient and skillful staff that will give you the best options for your resilient floor choices.

Sheet Vinyl

This type of resilient flooring is sometimes generically referred to as "Linoleum".  While Linoleum is technically a natural cork product made into rolled sheets of flooring material, and Sheet Vinyl is a rolled flooring material made of vinyl, they are generally used synonymously.
Some Sheet Vinyl is made specifically for surgery areas, wet areas, or gym floors and these are sometimes categorized as "Specialty Flooring" (see our Specialty Flooring for more information).
Today's Sheet Vinyl comes in residential and commercial qualities and uses many forms of manufacturing processes with countless patterns, colors and performance characteristics.  A choice of the correct performance characteristics is paramount to the long-term success of your project's flooring.
Tri-Co Floors experts will guide you regarding important features such as stain resistance for elements in the environments, easy clean finishes to mitigate maintenance issues, self-coved installation for certain health code requirements, or color all the way through to the backing to minimize wear (just to name a few).

luxury vinyl tile (LVT)

Luxury Vinyl is today’s fastest growing flooring market segment. Pricing has become more and more competitive, and creative advances in technology allow very realistic imitations of popular styles such as used barn-wood, stained concrete and expensive stones or ceramics.

Innovations in production methods have advanced certain brands to create waterproof flooring and can be great solutions for pet issues or scenarios where water, spills or other “accidents” are a maintenance issue.

Some Luxury Vinyl manufacturers have invested in using Urethane Ceramic Bead finishes that are very abrasion resistant. However, some budgets may not allow that specification. Your flooring experts at Tri-Co will direct you to a Luxury Vinyl that will fit your budget and project needs.

Rubber floors

Rubber Floors used to only have Raised Circular or Square Patterns and were mainly used for Stair Treads and Landings because of rubber's slip resistant properties.  Today, they come in a multitude of sizes, shapes and patterns that are installed in almost any commercial office or institutional use.  They almost imitate natural marble, slates and come in a multitude of colors from muted to bright shades, while still available in raised radial or squares.  Rubber Flooring is easy to maintain, as it doesn't need to be waxed.

Vinyl composition tile (VCT)

Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT) is available in a 12" x 12", 12" x 24" or 18" x 18" size and either a 1/8" or 1/32" inch thickness.  It is the oldest form of vinyl flooring material.  It has good abrasion resistance and is one of the longest lasting commercial floors.

While rather plain if installed in just one color, it is often installed with borders, accent stripes or squares, and can be made into very elaborate designs.  VCT should be maintained with a good commercial grade wax.
